Incredible smart hackers and incredible dumb Palin for trusting security of internet....I wonder if she is that trusting and or ignorant to all aspects of security.

All of this seems to have been staged by the republican party in an effort to shed a bad light on supporter of the democratic cause and create feelings of sympathy towards Palin, as well as reinforce her relationship with christian voters (through her mentioning of god in a majority of emails).
May sound far-fetched, but if you think about it...it’s not only possible, but it would also be a good tactic and one that would definitely fit with previous tactics tried out by the Republican Party.

I don’t normally side with politicians. But this seems a little low. Peoples Yahoo/Gmail/Hotmail accounts are generally used for personal matters. And as such should be respected as private mail.
If she did use it for work reasons then that was foolish. But you wouldn’t go through peoples home post in the hope they were having work stuff sent there.
